Don't Drive Dumb...Drive Smart!Take It To the Track

Take it to the Track was created by the Colorado State Patrol, Bandimere Speedway and the Alive At 25 Defensive Driving program to allow Colorado teen drivers to make good driving choices and let them take their need for a rush, to the track. The CSP is the first state law enforcement agency to create a drag racing series for teens. This is the fourth year that the Take It To The Track program, is being offered on 21-Wednesday evenings between April and October to provide a positive alternative to street racing. The program provides teens with a safe, legal and fun environment in which to satisfy their need for speed.

The 21 Take It To The Track Wednesday night events begin Wednesday, April 25th, at Bandimere Speedway, one of the country's premiere drag racing venues, located at 3051 South Rooney Road, Morrison, CO. Gates Open at 4:00 p.m. The program is open to anyone with a valid state driver's license during the 21 Wednesday nights throughout the summer. Participants pay a $30 entry fee at the gate, and can make as many runs as they wish for the duration of the event. Spectators pay $10, with children 12 and under gaining free access. Participation is open to any type of vehicle.

All participants must pass a tech inspection by qualified Bandimere Speedway employees to verify the vehicle is safe for racing, as well as to be on the street prior to making any runs. Participants ages 16 & 17 must have a Minor Release form signed by a parent or guardian prior to participating. Learn more by visiting their website: http://www.csp.state.co.us/taketotrack.cfm
