The
Event
The Annual SKATE the LAKE Winter Festival has been a New
Year's Eve tradition since 1996. Winter Festival offers ice-skating,
fireworks, fire barrel bonfires, sleigh rides, food, music and ice games
such as pick-up hockey and broom-stick hockey along with games/ activities
(jump castles, face painting), lots of food vendors, music and dancing
all on firm ground!

2010 New Year's Eve festivities:
The spectacular fireworks display will be lit over the ice – not just at midnight but first at 8:00 p.m. for the youngsters in the crowd. Once you've experienced it, you will always remember how magical it is.
ICE SKATE RENTALS ARE LIMITED. Please plan on bringing your own skates, if at all possible. If you do choose to rent skates, try to arrive early. Skate rentals are $7.00 for the evening.
Skate the Lake Winter Festival is a non-alcohol
event, geared to families and those who wish to ring in
the New Year safely, without a hang-over. The event is open from 6 pm
to 12 midnight, New Year's Eve.
