SKATE THE LAKE
The Event

The Annual SKATE the LAKE has been a New Year's Eve tradition since 1996. However, NEW IN 2007 (and resulting from the unfortunate need to cancel the 2006 due to ice conditions) Skate the Lake Winter Festival is being born! The new Winter Festival will offer everything that has previously been provided (ice-skating, fireworks, fire barrel bonfires, sleigh rides, food, music and ice games such as pick-up hockey and broom-stick hockey) along with the addition of more games/activities (jump castles, face painting), additional food vendors, music and dancing all on firm ground!

The spectacular fireworks display will be lit over the ice – not just at midnight but first at 8:00 p.m. for the youngsters in the crowd. Once you've experienced it, you will always remember how magical it is.

Skate the Lake Winter Festival is a non-alcohol event, geared to families and those who wish to ring in the New Year safely, without a hang-over. The event is open from 6 pm to 12 midnight, New Year's Eve.
